How to start your World of Warcraft in 32-bit
Before you say “This is pointless. I already know how to do this”. Consider this. Today we have two choices to do this.
- Use Honorbuddy Launcher
- Use Blizzard Launcher
What annoys me with these choices is this:
You get instant error message when the wow window pops up. And sometimes you get “Has stopped responding”. And the last thing i’ve noticed, is. The Launcher sometimes open multiple wow windows.
Some people might want to find a solution for the issue, error. So they visit the forum and post a thread about it, or searching like a madman for a solution.
WTF! I just want to open the god damn game in 32-bit! Admit it now, this is what you think of when you see the error message 😉
No offense to the Honorbuddy team. They are indescribably good at what they do. And I’m very grateful for their Launcher. That they developed for us. When the Launcher from Blizzard made Honorbuddy go berserker. But today i want a faster way to open my game in 32-bit.
All I have to say about Blizzard’s Launcher is that it is damn slow.
My solution is this:
- Go to the installations folder of World of Warcraft.
- Select the file Wow.exe And create a new shortcut to it. Then put the shortcut on your desktop.
- Go to your desktop, and select your new shortcut. Then click properties on it.
- Click on “Shortcut” tab
- In the field “Target” put in this: “C:Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\Wow.exe” -noautolaunch64bit -noautolaunch64bit -launch -uid wow_engb
Simple as that. Now it will open your wow in 32-bit without the stupid launcher.
Note: Do not forget the ” sign!
